Church Endowment Provides Flexible Ministry Future

Salem Church of God in Clayton, Ohio, has partnered with the Church of God Foundation to establish an endowment to provide opportunities for ministry! Two of their endowment committee members, Jenny and Mike, explain why they chose the Church of God Foundation to help them achieve their ministry goals.

Jenny: The vision for our church is to use the endowment to help grow the funds that will ultimately enable us to support new ministry programs and services. As the endowment grows, new money will be available to fund the ministries that can help people and spread the good news of Christ.

Mike: Our culture and the needs of our community are constantly changing. We recognized the need to have the additional resources that will allow us the flexibility to tailor our ministry to support changing needs. Our endowment with the Foundation will help us to grow the needed resources through planned giving that will provide for a flexible ministry future.

Jenny: We explored the possibilities of using the services offered by other foundations but ultimately selected the Church of God Foundation because of its competitive offering and our strong desires to remain connected to and support the Church of God. It?s about the relationship.

Mike: We could accomplish our investment needs with any similar organization. But we are a Church of God congregation. It just made sense that we should select the Church of God Foundation and support the collective work of the movement.
